Not the five star experience we hoped.
Architecture, the swimming pool, river side. Multiple plug types for power. Fridge and vault. Bath robes. The buffet breakfast and dinner was good.
Room was not clean, cobwebs, ripped and stained chairs, old and hard mattresses, broken flushing, rusted and old bathroom fittings. Guests have to walk in the rain from reception to rooms - no cover. For the money and for the five star status, this is not good. Staff were friendly but the state of the rooms were old and run down. Not cleaned well. We had a mattress that had a metal spring sticking out and a toilet that continued to give us issues for flushing even after getting the site plumber to fix it. Even with all the lights on, room was still dark. Beds were not comfortable for a good night sleep. Most of the TV channels were bad (pixelated) and loosing connection, so couldn't watch, why? Should recognise as a 4 or 3 1/2 star. Weirdly this five star grand hotel does not have enough tea spoons in the restaurant. There were many dessert options you would need a small tea spoon, but couldn't find them anywhere, during dinner or breakfast. Was told to use what was on the table, which was too big. Asked the staff, they looked everywhere for a tea spoon and ended up washing a one that was in a serving platter which was given to me. How bizarre? Later to test it out, I ask for two tea spoons to room, (didn't have any), only to receive a single one. So if you are staying here, take a tea spoon with you? I'm still very confused about this spoon issue.

un membre du personnel, certainement en formation, ne comprenait pas bien l’anglais ce qui a rendu le service du petit déjeuner laborieux. mais cela n’est arrivé qu’une seule fois et le problème a été réglé rapidement par le reste de l’équipe
